Buenas instalaciones, bonito hotel, pero pésimo servicio al huésped (nacional). Se desviven por el turismo extranjero, y a nosotros, los nacionales, no nos hacen caso.

Luis and Justino were the best bar tenders we have ever come across. They were both charismatic, always making sure we were taken care, learning our names, and constantly checking in need to make sure we were not in need of anything. They both kept us drinking all day and gave us lots of new drinks and shots we have never tried that were easy to get down. The whole resort was wonderful but these two individuals in particular made our stay here amazing. 11/10 people and bar tenders!!

We had the best holiday ever. Entertainment team were super. The buffet food was so fresh and lovely we didt go to any of the restaurants. Some of the rooms are a bit shabby, but when on the beautiful Mexican coast with all the fun you could want who wants to focus on that. Thank you to all the staff. Amazing.

Las habitaciones estándar están viejas, no hay ventilación en el baño. El servicio en el área de restaurante fue muy malo y lento. Las meseras muy malencaradas. No hay variedad de alimentos en el buffet, todos los días había lo mismo. El servicio de toallas para la alberca muy deficiente pues nunca había toallas suficientes. No regresaría al hotel.

Lo único que no me gustó es que cuando fui a reservar a los restaurantes de especialidades, tardaron mucho en atender a las personas, había varias personas esperando, me fastidié y me fui, ya no pude reservar, no entiendo porque tardaban tanto las personas que hacían su reserva. Cuando ví los vídeos de algunos youtubers que visitaron el hotel, comentaron que al llegar les ofrecían un cocktel de bienvenida y a ningún huésped que llegó en el mismo momento que yo noslo ofrecieron, un tache por esa parte, no hubo cocktel de bienvenida.

Estoy hospedado aquí, y mi recomendación es a quienes vengan que intenten cancelar. no hay restaurantes a la carta, la toallas de la habitación son limitadas, no te limpian la habitación diario, y la misma es de los años 80. es una pena porque el lugar es idílico.

I stayed here with my family for over a week. We all had the best time. I met so many wonderful people while staying there. The staff is so amazing. Always saying good morning and hi when passing by. There was a gentleman that brought the food for room service and he was so nice and amazing with my son . I wish I knew his name . I must say Lua is Amazing, the face of that place. I wish there would have been more traditional Mexican dishes at the buffet. But overall it was a great time and we will be back.

This resort was great!!!! The rooms are great and the workers are very professional. It seems everything is open right now and no signs of Covid. The food was delicious at every restaurant including buffet. I upgraded to privileged and it was only 20 more U.S. dollars a night. That will include a slightly better room,the ability to go to the beloved restaurant and access to a private pool with a bar. You also get to go to the spa for one hour. The event staff was excellent providing entertainment in the day and shows at night. Alcohol is only served from 11am-11pm fyi. We went down the street after 11pm to the local bars and loved it. The streets are a little dark but totally safe. Also there is a pharmacy right down the road next to the bars if you ever need anything. I would love to come back in the future. I have been on cruises and all inclusive resorts before and this one will be remembered .

10/10 personatly . Great one on one. Dario made me and my partner feel very special. Fun guy. Always got loads of energy. He has made our experience very good and one to remember. Fun guy. We will definitely be returning. Dario has been amazing from start to finish of our holiday 💯

Muy buen servicio! Todo muy limpio y protocolos de COVID al día.

Our visit to the Catalonia Riviera Maya was disappointing. The first day we arrived our ocean view room was not an ocean view at all. We had to spend an hour trying to get into another room, and after tipping a few people, finally got moved. We then made our way to the concierge to make reservations for dinner. We had to wait nearly 40 min in line and was told to be quiet while just having a normal conversation. The concierge was rude and not accommodating at all. They were completely “booked” for Friday night (restaurants were half empty), and they wouldn’t allow us to book any reservations for our party unless we were all together. They also wouldn’t allow walk-ins. That night we ended up eating at the buffet because we didn’t have a choice. Most of the restaurants were empty yet they claimed they were booked. It was bizarre. The Japanese place is only open on Wednesday, so we didn’t even get to eat there.The entire place shuts down at 11pm. No exceptions. We were watching an NFL game in the sports bar, and they literally turned the lights out at 11pm on the dot, while the game had 1 min left.They have terrible selection of alcohol, and even tho they show higher end liquor, they refused to even let us pay for it. A few of the bar tenders were pleasant, but a majority just could not care less or were rude. This is even after tipping.The food was average to below average. I’d compare it to a casual dining restaurant in the US.On our last night we arrived 15 min late for our reservation for dinner, and they refused to seat us for dinner and told us to go to the buffet. It felt punitive for missing the reservation, despite the restaurant being half empty. They ended up seating us after one of our other members of our party (who is Mexican American) talked to them, but they still made us wait an hour to eat despite having plenty of capacity. At dinner, they wouldn’t let us order more than one meal (all-inclusive?), and the waiter simply never came back to offer dessert. He was rude, and short with us, and it just made the dining experience disappointing. We just wanted to have a good dinner.The hotel itself is very old. The frame of our door broke, and the toilets had issues. It is NOT a luxury experience at all.The beach is small but it was pretty. The entertainment staff was nice, and the nightly entertainment was enjoyable.They had so many rules, and the customer takes a backseat to all of them. I’ve been to Mexico more than 10x, and this hotel was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had here. I would recommend staying somewhere else. I’ll never go back.

Nice resort right on the beach. Not too crowded and not a party place but still lively and fun. The food was good. The restaurant B'Loved was excellent! My big complaint would be that I paid for the Privileged room and perks but only found out on the last day that they didn't put us in the right room. Not impressed with that. Apparently they did this to others as well who had to ask to be moved to the proper room. Them doing this is enough for me not to want to return.

Le falta un poco de mantenimiento a las habitaciones. El número de camastros en las zonas de playa y alberca es insuficiente. La atención del personal es muy buena. La comida, bebidas y horarios de las mismas son bastante aceptables para el tipo de hotel. En general bien.

A smaller resort but well maintained, workers are always working around the clock to ensure it stays up kept. Excellent service from all staff, very accommodating and always smiling. We stayed in the premium deluxe room and it was nicely renovated, was able to cast netflix from our phones. Buffet food was yummy, as well as the crepe station and snacks. I think the only reason it is considered 4-star is because drinks and food stop at 11 PM, other than that I recommend this resort if you are not looking to party all night and just to relax and chill.

Hi Everyone, I’m posting this review as I think it will help a lot of people who are trying to learn more about this resort before coming to it. My partner and I decided to pack our things and come on a 7 day all inclusive vacation all the way from Canada. If you are a couple or family that want to come on a vacation to get away this could be a spot for you. My partner has a food allergy of gluten, for the 7 days we spent here it seemed okay. Most of the staff are helpful in terms of showing what does and does not contain the food allergy that you want to avoid. As for meals and dinners that are booked you will receive 4 +1 extra depending on what package you choose. Only a few of the meals outside of the buffet were actually good (Japanese and Italian) buffet food was great (We chose privileged). I would avoid booking on the Yucatan beach side as it does look a little out dated room wise. Privileged gets you the use of the other amenities such as an extra pool and bar, we thought the upgrade was well worth it. The beach is a little small and I would plan to start your day around 9-10AM if you want to get a spot with one of the beach chairs. The drinks and alcohol are great and the service is fantastic when it comes to that part of the all inclusive experience. When relaxing at the resort be ready to be bothered frequently to have photos taken, book the spa, and go on tourist type adventures (almost every day). The spa was relaxing, the marina is down the road and you will have access to book a snorkelling tour. If you want to exit the resort to grab some snacks a taxi will also take you to the gas station. My partner and I have both travelled a ton in life and stayed in luxury and non luxury resorts. I would have to put this at a happy medium above average. We are not people that complain and if you are on a vacation to enjoy the sun, swim in a pool and eat endless food this is the place - it’s always easy to find negatives in a resort. Would I personally stay again in the future? Possibly. It really depends on what I’m looking for in a vacation. In this exact moment it is exactly what myself and my partner needed. Is a very good option in the Mayan Riviera, this is located in Puerto Aventuras but all Catalonia's always are well known for the good food they have and very good service. I put 5 stars because, even that in our visit we had an issue with the bathroom, we saw that they were willing to fix the inconvenience. We received an excellent attention from Enrique, he personally make sure everything was perfect during our stay. There are many different restaurants to choose. I recommend all of them, the Italian, Mexican, etc... Or you can go to the buffet. I'm adding some pictures the delicious food! Definitely is a great option to have vacations.

Eu e minha família tivemos uma ótima experiência, quarto simples, mas que nos atendeu perfeitamente, piscina espetacular, comida maravilhosa (todos os restaurantes), o mar não estava aquele azul caribenho, mas tinha ótima visibilidade para um mergulho de snorkel (vi até arraia), ótima localização para os melhores cenotes, Tulum e Cozumel, super recomendo.

Un centro muy agradable, sobretodo la gente que trabaja ahí. Gente muy amable, que entrega un servicio de lo mejor. Con muchas ganas de volver lo antes posible.

Na nossa opinião o hotel é fantástico. Se, voltarmos, iremos ficar na mesma unidade hoteleira. Todos os colaboradores são muito simpáticos e prestáveis. De todos os restaurantes preferimos sem dúvida o Bloved, que tem uma Spagetti maravilhosa, é o restaurante japonês que é uma experiência inesquecível de alegria e divertimento na confecção dos alimentos. Confesso que por outro lado, o restaurante Mexicano foi uma desilusão, a comida, por ser a típica deixou muito a desejar. A esparguete do Bloved dá 10 a zero à esparguete do restaurante italiano. Infelizmente vim com uma gastroenterite, que duas semanas depois ainda não passou. Não sei porquê, talvez tenha sido o gelo ou os fritos. O sargaço fez-se presente, mas confesso que preferimos as piscinas, apesar de da parte da tarde serem mais caldo, do que refrescante, mas há o duche. O nosso quarto de lua de mel estava fantástico e era sempre. Um conforto chegar ao quarto fresquinha. O pequeno almoço na cama foi uma delícia. Sempre que tivemos algo a resolver, foi imediatamente resolvido. Adorei a experiência. Boa continuação.

O hotel em geral é muito bom, mas como em tudo, tem pontos positivos e negativos.QUARTOS: são limpíssimos e amplos, porém antigos. Soubemos que a rede Catalonia comprou o hotel de uma outra rede e acredito que estejam reformando aos poucos. Os quartos são pintados, mas as portas não. As tomadas e o piso são antigos, o que não dá muito bom aspecto. Tem uma boa varanda, TV e frigobar (só com água).ÁREAS EXTERNAS: As piscinas são ótimas, mas infelizmente a água estava gelada por ser inverno, quase não aproveitamos. A praia é muito boa, o mar parece uma piscina e as algas que são comuns na região são retiradas por funcionários todos os dias. Os jardins são muito bem cuidados, as lojinhas bonitas, há uma área com redes para descansar, tudo muito bonito. Nos agradou não ter música alta o tempo inteiro. Havia música nas áreas das piscinas, mas em horários determinadas e sem exagero. Nos incomodou muito a quantidade de hóspedes que fumavam. Era liberado fumar nas áreas externas então sofremos muito com hóspedes fumando na praia e principalmente num corredor de passagem próximo ao restaurante El Mercado, onde havia café. Era simplesmente insuportável passar por lá, então evitávamos essa área.RESTAURANTES: os restaurantes temáticos só podiam ser usados uma vez cada um, mas foi o suficiente, porque a comida não era nada excepcional. Nos restaurantes do dia a dia a comida era boa, mas para quem está acostumado com resorts, há outros hoteis que oferecem mais e melhores opções. Café, almoço e jantar possuem quase sempre a mesma oferta de alimentos. Fazem "noite francesa", "noite mexicana", etc, mas tudo muito parecido. Enjoamos da comida logo no segundo dia.EQUIPE DE ATENDIMENTO: o serviço de garçons, entregadores de toalha, camareiras, recepcionistas é muito cordial e prestativo. Os animadores são simpáticos, mas como há muitos hospedes franceses, parece que sempre dão mais atenção a eles. Mas sempre que precisamos foram simpáticos.ATIVIDADES EXTRAS: achei meio desorganizado. Há painéis com horários das atividades, mas por exemplo, há um espaço para arco e flecha dentro da quadra de esportes, mas não era utilizado. Parece que havia apenas uma hora por semana que poderia ser usado, mas não conseguimos descobrir, pois não estava marcado nem nos painéis e nem a própria equipe conseguiu nos informar. Também era um problema quando precisávamos pegar uma boa ou tacos de mini golf. Eles não ficavam disponíveis na recepção ou na própria quadra (isso acontecia somente para as raquetes de tenis). Tínhamos que ir até o Mini Club ou procurar por um dos animadores para que eles nos entregassem. Isso consumia um tempo grande, pois as distâncias lá são grandes. Seria mais fácil deixar tudo na recepção. A quadra é muito boa e conservada. Também há aulas de mergulho dentro da piscina, mas não fizemos. Fizemos um passeio de vela que é gratuito, só pedem que dê uma gorjeta para o rapaz. Também vimos grupos fazendo snorkel gratuitamente.Por fim, achamos um pouco inconveniente um tal de ETC, um clube da rede Catalonia que tenta nos convencer a fazer parte. Nos tratam como reis desde o check in, falam que querem mostrar as instalações do hotel, nos dão um café da manhã "especial", mas depois tentam por horas nos convencer a pagar um montante para termos direito a usar outros hotéis da rede e um sistema de descontos. Já tínhamos participado de algo parecido num outro resort, com a diferença que sabíamos antecipadamente que teríamos que participar dessa apresentação. No Catalonia fomos pegos totalmente de surpresa e não nos passou pela cabeça que seria novamente uma experiência de vendas. Eu acho muito desagradável. Foram cordiais, não insistiram muito, mesmo assim nos consumiu 4 horas e muitas justificativas de porquê não queríamos fazer parte do clube. E apenas uma das "vendedoras" nos tratou bem até o final da estadia. Os outros nem nos olharam mais na cara nos dias seguinte, já que não oferecíamos mais interesse para eles.

For someone that travels a (whole) lot, this is the worst resort I’ve ever been. The workers seem to be confused every time you ask them anything. The food is awful, and all the drinks are watered down — literally ( I asked for orange juice and the bartender proceeded to mix ice, water and some orange juice in front of me. The dinner restaurant is terrible, I was literally calling out for a waiter and no one answered. It was a fellow (Spanish) guest that helped out. Before the waiter could offer me a drink. There are much better resort and hotels around here. I’d never stay in this place again, you shouldn’t either — it’s a rip off.

Me encanta! El servicio y la atención es de primera desde que llegas. La comida excelente y siempre hay música y actividades del grupo de animación.El bar del abuelo es un "must" en las noches. Muy buen ambiente, lastima que cierren tan temprano y que la disco este cerrada por covid...El bar de la alberca es LO MEJOR. Juan, Javier Valerio y Manuel siempre de buen humor animando la fiesta en la alberca... (Cuidado que a veces tienen mano pesada 😝)100% recomendable, instalaciones muy bien, staff de lo mejor y muy respetuosos con la pandemia y la higiene.

Good hotel, good price. Food was good aside from the last day or two where they seemed to have less of everything. The night-time shows were excellent as well as the kids club where Gabriela and Angeles were fantastic at taking care of our 5 and 8 yrld!!!!

They ruined our vacation.Where do I start. Food is in unedible. Ac doesn't work, water ran out. Service is not there. Amenities do not exist. This is our second time we come here. First trip was great. This time, it's beyond belief how 0$ has been spent on maintenance or upkeep. I would definitely not recommend this place. Spoke with GM and he said, "yes I know, corona did us bad." Did you bad? Fixing a door doesn't need planning. It need one carpenter to repair all the doors on the resort in 3 weeks. All positive reviews are old. And I agree with them. Now? It's a horrible place. Don't waste you vacation here.

Me and my wife celebrated our 20th anniversary we liked the hospitality the food and the bars where awesome the view was excellent rooms where clean Have minor complaints but I’ll keep them to myself other than that we had a great time

El hotel me encanto, muy limpio en todo momento, al llegar tiene las medidas sanitarias adecuadas, el personal es muy amable y atento tanto en recepción, seguridad, cocineros (meseros) y camaristas, las habitaciones son muy amplias ya sea que vayas en plan familiar o con tu pareja, las albercas también están limpias, en la sección de playa todo muy bien organizado y sin basura al rededor de los camastros, el bar tiene muy buen ambiente, el teatro esta muy bueno para cuando vayan con niños, los baños de las albercas también se mantienen limpios, lo único en los que si digo que aumenten más la variedad es en las comidas y cenas ya qué es un poco repetitivo en el área de parrilla, de ahí en fuera para mi, el hotel es perfecto yo si le doy 5 estrellas aunque tengan el detalle de la comida.

I accidentally booked this location instead of the newer resort that they have. So I was surprised when I arrived at this location. Decided to just stay since I was traveling with a little one. This is a smaller older resort that has wear and tear and could use some updating. I was not told that there was a premium package vs a regular package. So we paid extra once we arrived for the premium package. So we would get access to more of the restaurants and to have room service. The food and service at the buffet was horrible! We opted for the restaurants during our stay. The food was alot better at the restaurants, but still could use some improvements. The girls who booked our dinner reservations were really friendly and helpful.The mole at the Mexican restaurant was amazing. I personally wouldn't rebook here again. You can get better for your buck, but it also could have been worse.

If you're not used to visiting luxurious resorts, it might be fine for you, but there are much better places in my opinion. The rooms are too small, the bathrooms get flooded and the sinks are old and they don't work properly. I went with my couple and they gave us separate beds, they didn't even ask!!! The food is not bad but they need more variety, the pool bar employees are rude and they "measure" the drinks you're having even if you got the all-inclusive. In some rooms the A/C was not working!!!

No vayana este hotel , desde que llegamos horrible el lugar , en remodelación de inicio , 2 ,horas para hacer check in, la habitación 106 peor que la de un hotel de paso sucia, despintada , con sarro y óxido en los baños , no tienen medidas de higiene covid , no sanitizan tu equipaje , cambié mi plan por 5000 pesos para tener una habitación desente y con room service , sorpresa el room service nunca llegó , la caja fuerte no servía , pelos de la última persona en la tina , al llegar al restaurante lo primero que se come mi hijo es un pan con moho, las servilletas de la tela en mesa sucias las ocupo una persona dejo el labial y solo la doblaron y volvieron a poner ,la comida en el restaurante de mal a peor , y super tardado la agencia Best day no se hace responsable por nada sobre este mal hotel que digo malísimo lo peor es que me quedan 4 días aquí aún ahh por cierto les pedí hablar con un gerente y ninguno me dio la cara .

0 (Zero) points for the Hotel Management! To check in (Friday afternoon) took almost 1 1/2 hours. (English at check in was ...) Once check in was complete and asking for the complimentary COVID test and what needs to be done, we were told we can go to the Guest Service desk over there any time and just let them know. Next morning stopping by at 9:00am (office hours are stated there 9:00 -17:00 Hrs.) there was a very long waiting line. Checking a few more times and when line was OK asking for the complimentary COVID test, being told that the complimentary COVID tests are only performed Mon - Sat from 9:00am - 10:00am. Sunday no service offered but they can order an outside laboratory for us at a cost of $40,- each person. (Stay was only Fri - Mon, so test was urgently needed in order to fly back to the US) Talking to the Hotel Management about their bad service and "fooling their guests with lack of information", the Manager made it clear that its the guests responsibility they make sure that they have the right information (referring to the test time only from 9:00 to 10:00am). I recommended to post a sign at the Guest Service desk stating that the complimentary COVID testing is done only Mon - Sat from 9:00am to 10:00am. No positive signal or response from the Manager to inform guests per posting ...The Manager mentioned that the testing at the Hotel was stopped a while ago but that they have agreements with some travel agencies to offer the testing but the Hotel has to pay for it. When leaving Monday there was no sign posted. ... any guess why no posting is done :-(

Wasn’t very inviting, the rooms Ac and fans did not work. The refrigerator also did not work. Only allowed 2 drinks per room when we had 6 people. All the reservations were “full” but when you would walk by there would be No one there. Only got to try 1 restaurant and the buffet. The 1 restaurant had a very cheap steak as their entree that was decent, mostly fat and gristle. The buffet food was all the way around nasty. Drinks were nasty. Everything was nasty. The room service was nasty. If they even bring it to you. All the alcoholic drinks were very watered down. The guy was kicking people out of the pool at 7:30. The bars closed at 11pm. It was so brutally hot and seemed like the office people didn’t wanna use fans at this resort at all, would be crowded full of people sweating and everyone asking for the fans to be turned on and they didn’t even work. Vacation from hell the first 10 minutes of being here it really was horrible spend the extra money and go somewhere that cares about their guests

Eu e minha esposa ficamos no quarto do bloco B, sem água quente em todos os dias, mesmo reclamando diariamente, e em um dos dias tivemos que ir ao jantar sem banho, devido a falta de água. Enfim, acredito que tenham de rever esses pontos, além da tremenda falta de feedback quanto às reclamações. Tremenda falta de respeito com o hospede.

Comidas e bebidas excelentes. Os ponto negativos são o mar escuro e a formação de filas para reserva de restaurantes temáticos, o que é inadmissivel nos dias atuais.

Excelente hotel. Habitaciones amplias y cómodas, con lo necesario para descansar con la tranquilidad de unas vacaciones. Quizás podrían mejorar el servicio de bar, ya que no cuentan con meseros en el área de albercas. La comida sencilla pero variada. Muy limitado el servicio de cenas de especialidad. Podrían mejorar el servicio de reservas.

This place is terrible. If you’ve ever been to a real resort before you’d know this place is a TOTAL rip off. They barely have an air conditioned areas, for goodness sake their rooms are barely air conditioned. My rooms air condition was not working and they wasted my entire day trying to fix it and then the toilet stopped working and wouldn’t flush. It was a mess. Not only but they don’t have any food lounges where you can get a snack if you’re just hungry. You have to reserve a restaurant from 8 IN THE MORNING and aside from that, they only open one or two restaurants a day; it’s barely all inclusive with this method. The buffet has oily, greasy, terrible foods, with little to no fresh options. Never have I been in a resort that was worse than this one. Staff does not have good communication. They wouldn’t even give us tissues for our rooms. WiFi was the slowest I have experienced in a hotel. It was absolutely not worth the couple dollars we saved, if we had just spent them on a better resort we would have actually enjoyed our vacation. Terrible.

This resort was so so wonderful! I’ll start off by saying how clean the place was, everyone made sure to keep the rooms, pools, restaurants and everything spotless! The staff was super kind and always greeted you with a hello or good morning. Everything was just beautiful and I hope to be coming back soon, highly highly recommend this resort!

Staff here is great! Grounds are so clean with nice gardens. The bay is very calm and protected from the bigger waves when windy, but the beach is fairly small and some rocks. Very sad to see the washed up seaweed on the beach getting bagged up into new plastic garbage bags to be hauled off. There has got to be a more environmentally sound way of managing organic waste. On the flip side, loved that they use reusable cups for there drinks!
